History of Gold Star Custom Builders

Ron Gholston was introduced to construction as a very young boy going to projects with his father who built houses. Ron began his construction experience as soon as he was old enough to carry lumber, he helped his father when he was available and actually grew up in the building business.

Ron began his construction career in 1972 by contracting cabinets and trim work with his father and two older brothers. After working with them for a number of years and learning all facets of the construction business, he began building speculation houses in 1977. In addition to being a successful cabinet and trim contractor for other builders, Ron continued to build a few houses each year. Due to increased building activity, Ron-Dael Homes was created and incorporated in 1979. Since that time Ron-Dael Homes, Inc. has built many homes throughout Northeast Houston. Due to satisfied customers, bankers, business associates, and real estate agents, most clients have been referred. For the past several years, Ron-Dael Homes, has sustained a prosperous business by only building contract houses. Ron has such a reputation of satisfied customers that he has even built homes more than once for a customer.

Recently, Ron Gholston desired a corporate rejuvenation. He was well known in the Northeast area; he wanted to expand his horizons and to develop a company that could be recognized throughout Houston. Since the beginning, Ron-Dael Homes was difficult to pronounce, never spelled right, and sometimes hard to remember. The name Ron-Dael Homes, Inc. was developed from the names of his two sons, and given that Ron's sons did not join him in the building business, and most of his customers remembered him by Ron Gholston not Ron-Dael Homes; Ron decided to have a corporate facelift - A new name was needed, one that is easy to read and remember, therefore…

Gold Star Custom Builders was created.

Gold Star Custom Builders - A new and exciting company with fresh challenges, new goals and creative ideas; but with the established knowledge, experience, and integrity of Ron Gholston.
